Jill Pearson's performances at our Celebrate the Gift dinners touched many hearts.  She is personable, fun, and so very talented as a musician.  It was fun to hear the stories that prompted the songs.  Looking forward to seeing her present at another time!

A little over a year ago, I wanted something special to offer my church in memory of my husband, Don, who died in August 2010. The members of our church had offered us so much support and love during Don's illness and death and I was searching for a way to express my appreciation. I thank God for leading me to Jill and her music. Don, too, was an artist. His work remains as a feast for the eyes and the spirit. Jill's artistic offering is an auditory and spiritual gift. My family and I offered Jill's music to our church and to our community as a gift of thanks. When Jill performed her original song, "The Empty Chair" at that first concert, it was deeply moving and symbolic for all of us who knew and loved Don.  Jill and her family and friends performed for us again at Christmas 2011 and, once again, we offered her program as a gift to our community. She led us all to a deeper sense of reverence and appreciation as we celebrated Christ's birth together.

Thank you Jill for your performance at our Evening MOPS Christmas Celebration!  We all thoroughly enjoyed having you with us.  I got countless responses from our moms that you were such a talented and inspiring mom, singer, musician...... The way that you presented yourself through your words and music made us all laugh and cry.  Not only was your performance entertaining, but you inspired us to be better WOMEN, WIVES and MOMS.  We would love to have you with us again in the future!

Jill recently came to sing for a bible study that I attend here in Rochester, Minnesota.  My husband and I are a bit of a duel citizen of Illinois and Minnesota at the moment.  Minnesota is where we have our house and he has his job.  Illinois is where I have family and am spending between 3-6 weeks at a time getting treatment for my daughter at Children’s Memorial Hospital.  She is doing much better these days but we have to keep making trips back and forth for checkups and medication adjustments and things of that nature.  So… while we are doing all that driving I for one could use a LOT of Christmas music and a little extra cheer.   Jill Pearson has a fantastic voice (as you heard if you clicked the link to the YouTube video) and I was so impressed and inspired by her songs that I wrote a blog about it a few days ago.
Jill’s music is inspirational and beautiful- the perfect compliment to your holiday season.  Her songs are a mix of traditional and fun.  She wrote this hilarious parody of “It’s Beginning to look a lot like Christmas” talking about how we start Christmas too soon and lose sight of the real meaning of Christmas.  She even started a Facebook pageabout it.  I also love that she involves her whole family in her music and her videos.  She’s a mom and an artist and a woman following her dreams and what she know that God has called her to do.
Christmas in October -
I knew we were in for a treat when several of the men near the back realized that there were not enough seats in the sanctuary.  About eight of us scrambled to bring chairs from the four corners of the church to provide another 75 seats for people pouring in the doors  to receive a blessing.  They were coming to set the season up on the right tone; they were coming to hear Jill Pearson and her many musical friends.
For me the concert was a time when I could put away the frantic going and doing, if only for a couple of hours.  This was a chance to quiet my soul and appreciate the beauty of harmony and excellent music praising the Lover of my soul.  It was such a pleasure to see how Jill had cultivated and called so many talented musicians and artists together for the central purpose of praising Christ.  They were swept into Jill's calling  to be a herald.  I know from several conversations that I was not alone in experiencing  this special encounter with God.  One person I talked to had just emerged from a dark time; wrestling with difficult questions .  "This was medicine for my soul," she said.  I heartily agree.
As we enter this Advent season I trust that our herald's message will be heard.  Come to Christ and worship Him.  As I saw the packed crowd praising, I must admit there was some pastoral pride as I entertained the idea that as God is searching for those who worship in Spirit and in truth, He found such worshipers in these heralds.

Jill's unique ability to touch an audience with her obvious, God-given talent is a true work of art inspired by the Holy Spirit. She has such a lovely way of connecting with people through her music that you'll see the affect in the faces of those who hear her especially by the tears her music envokes. You only have to hear her once to realize you have to have her in your life. Her stories, her words and her glorious voice will touch the very depths of your soul. Listen with your ears and let the Holy Spirit touch your heart. I pray you'll be as blessed as I am to be in His presence through Jill.

I am so glad that everything worked out so that you could sing for us at our Spring Gathering!!! I really was moved by your music and your words. You are a wonderful singer/songwriter!! Many people commented on your beautiful music! God has given you a great gift!!! And, the best part is you're using it to sing His Praise!!!

We on the planning committee wanted the day to be a blessing to all who attended, that they might be energized to go back to their home congregations and be a blessing to them, and encourage one another to be a blessing to the world! You and Betsy were a HUGE part of that, and WE THANK YOU!!!

Jill performed at our March 20th Trinity Lutheran Coffee House. Since then I've lost count of the number of people who have expressed to me how wonderful the event was. Numerous requests have been made to ask Jill for a return performance. It was a very special evening with the highlight being Jill's beautiful, insightful, spiritual, and sometimes humerous music. Bravo!

Jill was absolutely a wonderful ministry partner. She listened intently to our vision for the meeting, caught it, enlarged it, and brought beauty to it. This was not a concert of her songs, but an evening of intimate worship, which she led with grace, confidence, and anointing. We had a pretty major technical issue that evening that might have sent many worship leaders into anger and frustration, evaporating their ability to truly lead worship. Jill was unflappable and handled it with maturity and love. That crisis revealed the deep character of Christ in her, and Christ’s presence was not hindered from being sweetly poured out throughout the meeting, touching, encouraging, and refreshing each one.

We really enjoy your music and appreciate the words you share along with it.  The video of your family was a great addition for a group of moms, too- so fun!

"Jill is a uniquely gifted musician whose mellow sound is inviting to audiences of all ages. As our headliner for our annual women's ministry Christmas concert, she excelled at offering a variety of songs as well as in sharing meaningful and humorous stories in between songs. Jill's presence is very engaging and authentic - her heart truly shines through as she shares her originally-inspired music. Our team is already considering inviting her back for next year!"
